Decription: A presentation on blood and blood products which has slides which covers every minute detail of the chapter. It covers topics of the preparation, handling, storage, labelling and control of blood products such as Whole Human Blood, Dried Human Plasma, Human Plasma Protein Fraction, Dried Human Plasma Protein Fraction, concentrated human red blood cells, Human Fibrinogen, Human Thrombin, Human Fibrin Foam, Dried Human Serum, Human Normal Immunoglobulin Injection, Immunoglobulins (beta globulins and gamma globulins). It also covers topics such as Plasma Substitutes (including Gum Saline, Polyvinylpyrrolidone, Dextran in detail) and Absorbable Haemostats (including Human Fibrin Foam, Gelatin Sponge, Oxidized Cellulose, and Calcium Alginate). The material has been referenced from Cooper and Gunn's Text Book called Tutorial Pharmacy. However it is advised to the students to cross reference with the chapter in Bentley's Text Book of Pharmaceutics as well for additional points to the points already on the slides.
